Marsh Tit (Forest of Dean)

The first this year at Cannop Ponds, and it was there for a 3 seconds and disappeared again. Well, I shall get it in focus the next time. Today I couldn't film very well, because I had knocked the camera and I hit the viewfinder out of focus. Silly old thing........

Shoveler

I have to keep my bill below the water, in case somebody will recognise me.
Come on then, I've been like a shoveler, it seems like a hour.
Ah, that's better, I thought that it would never go away, phew, I can take a breather.

Blue Tits standing on a branch

It was a day which had gloomy parts and the rain makes another part. If I hadn't mentioned it, I'm afraid somebody will tell you. I didn't take those pictures today, as I was stuck indoors.

Nuthatch staring at what?

I think it was a Sparrowhawk. He/she kept still, but he was definitely the victim, lucky for him/her, it ended without a bird.

Black-headed Gull at Lydney

It was raining, again. The Black-headed Gull is getting close to flying to the coast, I'm not sure which or where it goes, but, it is off making a nest.

Shelduck

I had to stay in all day because, somebody had stolen my bank details, on the internet. The trouble was, that I or the bank, will never find out who had used it. It was William Hills, the bookies, which I don't believe it...........

Great Crested Grebes (Forest of Dean)

I shot this one from behind reeds, nearly all of them were like that.
This one was nearly there, but it wasn't right.
This is the nesting joint, but not now. This one is waiting for them.
This one I liked, even though it is a bit blurred.

You need a Crane to lift away this weather.......

The Common Crane is wonderful in this country, it is about 400 years without them, but here are, at home on Somerset levels.
Pictures taken at Slimbridge WWT.

It turned out to be a day of wetness. Not a lot of anything to stimulate yourselves.

The Smew

Female
and male
These are one of the smaller breeds. To me, it is beautiful and, I want to cuddle it. There isn't one who would want to hurt it.

Great Tit at New Fancy, Forest of Dean

A big hello to the Great Tit. I never can get a picture of its face, I dunno why, it must be me. Can anyone agree with me?
